There is an interesting documentary on PBS Frontline called ON OUR WATCH. The documentary asks why the UN and its member states have failed to stop the continuing violence in Darfur. There are also insightful interviews posted with UN officials, authors/researchers to try and answer why the
violence has happened on our watch when the international community vowed never again after Rwanda and Srebenica.
My apologies for not posting recently. I became discouraged with the apparent lack of progress after the peace talks and the slow movement to garner an equipped peacekeeping mission for Darfur. We all need encouragement to press on in prayer and action despite what continues to unfold on our watch. Therefore, I would love to hear and share your stories on what you, your family/friends, church is doing to stand in the gap on behalf of Darfur.
Let our prayers continue to be....God come quickly to bring your mercy and lasting change.
As part of the Am I Not Human? campaign, the 27th of each month will be dedicated to providing the necessary tools in an effort to bring to the forefront the atrocities that continue to occur at the hands of the Chinese government in Darfur and Tibet.
I invite you to read my May, 2008 Am I Not Human post entitled “am i not human? wanted ahmad haran & ali kushayb for crimes against humanity”
